Question: I have been dealing with a problem for the last four years. my bottom lip color has been changed from brown to pink. I.have been smoking for the last 10 years. please let me know if there are any treatment to restore my lip color.

why cant it be post inflammatory hypopigmentation. I dont have any white patches in my body. how do I confirm this is vitiligo. any tests available to check ? any blood test or.something available to check melanin count?. how do i make.sure this will not spread?. please advice.

Yes It can be post inflammatory hypo pigementation.
Do you have habit of lip biting or did you develop any injury to lip before developing these lesions.
These conditions are pre requisite to call it as post inflammatory hypo pigmentation.
The treatment will not vary as melgain is a decapeptide which helps in melanin synthesis.
Vitiligo or post inflammatory hypo pigementation is a clinical diagnosis.
There is no test to confirm it.
