Suggest Treatment For Vitiligo
Question: Have had red expansion line below lower lip for about two months, not going away.
Brief Answer:
Seems to be vitiligo, topical steroid & tacrolimus ointment
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photograph and can appreciate depigmentation below your lower lip.
It seems to be vitiligo.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like mometasone cream on the affected area in the morning and tacrolimus ointment at night on the depigmented area.
These medicines are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

Thank you Dr. Sawhney. My situation seems not to be depigmentation which vitiligo
Specifies but isn't the expansion under my lip adding red rather than taking colour away?

Brief Answer:
Seems to be mild inflammation of the skin
Detailed Answer:
I can only appreciate slight redness under the left lower lip.
It looks like mild inflammation of the skin.
You can apply cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily for 12-14 days.
This should reduce the redness.
Otherwise consult a doctor and go for clinical examination.
