Suggest Treatment For Vomiting, Bloating And Constipation
Be patient. Medicines proper. Give light diet and home made ORS.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
It seems that your child has got a stomach upset following her tour. Emeset is right to be given in such a situation. It will help in relieving the vomiting. Give it thrice a day 15-30 mins before he takes her feed. That will help her in retaining the feeds. You also need give ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) to replenish the lost water and salts. I understand that the child is not accepting it, but then, you can try the various flavours that are available. Alternatively, you can give home made ORS prepared by mixing a pinch of salt and 4 teaspoons of sugar in a glass of water.
After the initial stabilisation, give her a fibre rich diet and plenty of curd. Curd contains beneficial bacteria. High fibre diet provides roughage for the formation of the stool. It will help in regularising the bowel movements and would automatically control the overgrowth of intestinal bacteria which is reponsible for the bloating and foul smelling gases.
Hope that helps.

2. What is this problem exactly. Is it food poisoning acidity stomach infection what is it
3. Is there any reasons why antibiotics are not prescribed. We are quite surprised that there are no antibiotics required.
4. Is it necessary for her to consume ors to get well or without ors also she can get well. If so we will hold her and ensure she drinks.
5. Is nimboo pani ok.
Is milk with kellogs wheat flakes ok to give her.
Is papaya ok.
Home made substitutes like dal water can be given instead of ORS
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to write back earlier. Let me try to answer the questions one by one.
1. You may give her dal water in increased amounts. That will substitute for ORS. Also continue to give water.
2. The problems could be due to a gastrointestinal infection. Hyperacidity, if any, is likely to be just a concurrence.
3. Even though I say that there could be a gastrointestinal infection, antibiotics are not required as unless associated with bloody diarrhea, the condition is self correcting and the body automatically takes care of it in a few days. Giving curd can be helpful as it increases the amount of beneficial bacteria in the intestines.
4. ORS serves to prevent dehydration from developing. If the salts and water is replenished by other means, there should not be a problem. Nimboo pani and papaya are ok to be given. I would prefer avoiding milk for a week but there should not really be a problem if she is able to tolerate it.
Hope it helps.
