Hi,I am Dr. Shivaprasad C (Endocrinologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I suffer from psoriasis; now controlled. I suffered from diarrhea two years back and was diagnosed as suffering from Malnutrition. Last year I had checked heart with ECO 65% efficiency and Angiogram with minor plaque. Later I suffered from Cramps in legs at night. I was admitted to hospital and later on it was found that I suffer from Addison s disease. I am on hydrocortison 25 mg in three doses. I recently suddenly suffered from knee pain in night accompanied with stomach upset (diarrhea).I had eaten Pizza for dinner that night. I am given Cifran OZ with paracetamol. What exactly happening to me, and what is prognosis.
Your recent symptoms of diarrhea suggests food poisoning. Cifran oz is sufficient. Antacids can be taken along. Adequate hydration is essential. Addison’s disease requires lifelong treatment. Treatments, such as hormone replacement medications, can help you manage your symptoms.
Following the treatment plan your doctor creates is an important step in helping you live a productive life. Remember, always take your medications exactly as directed. Taking too little or too much medication can negatively affect your health. Your treatment plan may need to be reevaluated and changed depending on your condition. For this reason, it’s important that you see your doctor regularly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
