Brief Answer:
Can be due to diabetes mellitus, needs screening!!!

Detailed Answer:
I warmly Welcome you here at HCM. Your trust in this health portal means a lot to me as a Physician.

I have carefully worked through your case and can well realize your health worries. The leg muscles are made of muscle fibers or bundles, nerves and other tissues. If there is an issue with any of the components, it causes weakness in the legs. Different causes are there to damage the nerves in legs like viral illnesses, metabolic diseases and autoimmune pathologies.

Sometimes there are issues in Cerebellum part of brain that may cause leg issues disrupting gait.

Diabetes mellitus, neuromuscular disorders and brain and spinal cord pathologies are the areas to focus and screen for.

Final suggestion:-
Please consult a Neurologist or an Internal Medicine Specialist for thorough evaluation and management accordingly. He may go for blood work and neuromuscular transmission studies to rule out differential diagnoses. They are the personnel trained to treat such patients successfully once diagnosis is establishes.
