Brief Answer:
albuterol is best for wheezing

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
Albuterol inhalers are the medicine most commonly used for wheezing. It is fairly common to get a cold and then have some inflammation causing a cough and some wheezing that can persist for up to several months. The lump in the throat could be just some inflammation from the cold but if it persists then you should have a doctor look at it. You will need to see a doctor or call your doctor for a prescription for Albuterol if the wheezing is serious and causing shortness of breath.
I hope you are feeling better soon,
Dr. Robinson
