Suggest Treatment For White Bump On The Shaft Of Penis

Question: i have a week old white ish bump on the shaft of my penis that is kind of painful, but i often forget it is there. What is it? What should i do for treatment?
Brief Answer:
Application of medicine, warm compress; Nothing to panic
Detailed Answer:
Hi sir.Thanks for your query.
This blemish is enlarged infected gland(sebaceous gland) that is normally present in the skin of the shaft.I were to suggest to apply antibiotic cream (fusidic acid 2%) locally twice a day and keep the area dry. This will take one week to 10 days and will resolve by itself. Kindly donot pop the blemish since it might leave an ugly scar after healing.
Apply warm compress 3-4 times a day locally to alleviate pain and swelling.Take pain relieving medication- Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg three times a day after food for 2-3 days.
Feel free to revert for further queries.

in looking up this medicine, DR, it says not to be used around Itchy skin around the genitals or anus. and while this affected area is not itchy, it still says genitals. is it really okay to be used here?
Brief Answer:
Its safe to apply externally
Detailed Answer:
Hi sir.Thanks for your revert.
I was able to see the blemish on the shaft skin. You can apply a thin layer only on the skin surface and not the mucosa. If you experience any itching, irritation I would suggest to discontinue. These are mild side effects seen in a few people.
Hope this helps.Nothing to panic.
