Suggest Treatment For White Lump On Lingual Frelum

Question: Hi i have noticed a little white lump on Lingual frelum . I was at the the dentist friday to look at a few bumps near that location, all was fine then this morning i noticed this new bump . Im not sure if its a ulcer but there isnt as much pain as a ulcer so its got me thinking what it is .

Read your query and reports (image ) you have attached as far as I have observed there is nothing to worry . Based on what I see it looks like Mucocele . It happens when there is minor trauma in glands present in oral cavity .

For this i will suggest you that it will heal in few days . But if it hurt you can apply anaesthetic ointment like Dologel or Mucopain for one week .

-You can take vitamin B supplements by consulting with local doctor . Do warm rinses 2 -3 times a day .

- Maintain good oral hygiene , use mouthwash regularly . Drink lots of water in order to keep mouth moist .

You can do warm saline rinses 2 - 3 times a day (take one glass of warm water mix 1/2 tablespoon salt and do warm saline rinses) .

- you can use mouthwash containing chlorhexidine like Elduril mouthwash in 1: 2 ratio 1 part of solution 2 part of water or Betadine mint gargle also you can use in same ratio.

Also i think ihave geograpic toungue. I will attach photos of different days of different appearences . It looses it texture and moves around

Read your query and obsereved reports (image) of tongue you have attached as far as I had observed Yes it looks Geographic tongue or you can also say benign migratory glossitis .

See what happened is this is inflammatory condition with loss of papillae (taste buds ) on tongue. It appears on one area and moves on other area of tongue . This condition is seen in people due to some reason which includes :
-stress induced .
- Hormonal influences .
-Use of tobacco or tobacco containing product .
- Hot and spicy food .
- Vitamin B or Zinc deficiency.

Dont be worried so much geographic tongue is harmless condition for this I will suggest you to do some remedies which include :
-Dont take stress .
- Dont take any tobacco containing products (if you are taking ) .
-Avoid hot and spicy food.

- If you have burning sensation on tongue you can apply ointment like triamcinolone acetonide paste .

Also i suffer with mouth ulcers . Every other week or so i seen to get one i work shifts and also can be stressed quiet a lot . What would you advise for mouth ulcers ive started taking complex b vits . Could it be a trigger like coffee ect thank you

Read your query as you had mouth ulcers every other week this condition is said as Recurrent Apthous ulcers. There is nothing to be worried so much this is seen in 60 percent of patients .

See this R. Apthous ulcers is seen due to some condition which include :
- Vitamin B 6 , B12 , folic acid , zinc , iron deficiency .
-Stress induced and anxiety related .

- Improper sleep .
