Suggest Treatment For White Raised Bumps On Penis

Question: My husband has hard white bumps, about the size of a pencil eraser, under the skin around his penis. He says they are calcium deposits. But they eventually get painful and burst, blood first then very little white paste like substance. They never totally empty, and fill back up. They look oversized whiteheads but are far too hard to be like a zit. What can this possibly be?

Based on the facts that you have written it appears that your problem is fordyce spots caused by blocked sebaceous glands. This is a dermatological condition that causes yellowish-white bumps/spots. More than 70% of males have fordyce spots. Squeezing may make them sore.

Also higher sensitivity of the sebaceous cells to androgens may be a possible cause of your problem.

Please note that fordyce spots are not a sexually transmitted infection.

fordyce spots on the penis are harmless and do not require any treatment. Do not touch it and squeeze it. Wearing underwear that are loose can prevent sweating in the genital areas. Also use anti-bacterial soap to unclog the pores.
