Suggest Treatment For White Scab On Scalp

Question: I have a hard white scab on my scalp in my hair. It started out as a pimple and I picked at it. It has been a few months and the scab won't come off or go away. It is smaller than a pencil eraser and hasn't changed in size.

It could be anything, a benign cause such as Discoid lupus erythematosus Or it could be a malignancy like keratoacanthoma or squamous cell carcinoma.
