Suggest Treatment For Wound Site Numbness Post Gallbladder Surgery
common post surgical sequelae. Symptomatic care only
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. History of extensive surgery for common bile duct stones and pancreatitis is always followed by such minor sequelaes and is not a worrisome concern just needs symptomatic and supportive care.
Wound site numbness is normal post surgical complication, just tylenol and B complex multivitamins you are already on should help. With body parts itching one worry about raised conjugated bilirubin in biliary obstructions but that definitely would have shown up on blood work so no worries. And these itchy prickly feelings over body are also a sequelae. If itching is severe you may start ursodeoxycholic acid , it will help the itch.
After such surgeries, bowel ability to process and handle food change and it becomes like that of a baby. Small frequent meals, that too neither fatty , nor processed, dairy, canned and spiced . Prfer more fiber and fluids and take some antacid which you have been already using. Avoid baby aspirin at any cost as that worsens these all symptoms.
Nutshell, with normal work up, all you need is modify diet and lifestyle and follow like an IBS patient and avoid aspirin. Wait for the symptoms to resolve. Age related factors also contribute.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
