Suggest Treatment Fro Dizziness And Balancing Issues

Question: Dr. Shehu,
Thank you for your e-mail. I am still taking 40mg. of Roosuvastin daily to get my ratio down. Will have blood work this week to see if it worked. If not, do you suggest I go back to Lipitor or another statin? In the meantime, I am still experiencing dizziness and loss of balance problems daily. Have been to Neurologist who cannot diagnose what is causing this. Has now referred me to a pain management clinic, thinking it might be a nerve issue. Have been advised not to do this, but to go to a Neurosurge, as I do have stenosis in c-5-7 discs which might be stopping fluid from getting to brain. Sooo frustrated. In the meantime, I will work on lowering cholesterol. Do you think I should stay on Crestor, or go back to Lipitor?
Thank you. I may have made a mistake by first sending an answer through my account and dashboard with Health Magic. I did, however address it to you, but thought I should resend.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back once again!
My opinion is that your symptoms may be due to a combination of two factors:
- Cervical spine stenosis
- Side effects of statin use (all statins may cause dizziness and head ache)
In order to provide the best treatment is important to do the consult with neurosurgeon.
Meantime you should wait for the blood yest results. My opinion is that you continue with rosuvastatin but a dose reduction is necessary. However it all depends on the test results.
Can you please upload the test results immediately?
Wish you health !
