Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. Get a Tympanogram (Impedance Audiogram) done. If it is normal, then medication will help. If it is abnormal, a
Myringotomy with grommet insertion will help.
2. Get a plain CT PNS (Para Nasal
Sinuses) done. It will show the changes following the previous surgeries and the current health of the nose and sinuses which may be the cause of the ETD.
3. The
Valsalva Maneuver creates pressures far in excess of the normal pressures. Hence do not use it so often. A Toynbee or Frenzel's Maneuver is better.
4. Get a nasal
endoscopy with Mueller's Maneuver done. If there is a problem, one of the newer options is
balloon dilatation of the ET.
5. If you can share these reports, a Pure Tone Audiogram (PTA) and your clinical (ear) examination reports, I will be able to help you better.
If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
