Suggest Treatment When Diagnosed With Plaque Formation In Carotid Arteries

Question: I had a Life Line Screening Test done, and they found plaque in my carotid arteries. They along with my
primary doctor seem to be not alarmed about. I personally am very much concerned about it. Should I
say or do nothing and let the plaque accumulate until it become a dangerous risk?
Thank you,

Brief Answer:
Following advice.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
You shouldn't worry about the carotid plaques as long as you are symptomless. Carotid plaques are formed during lifetime and are a manifestation of atherosclerosis.
Atherosclerosis is enhanced by hypertension and dyslipidemia and the only measures that should be made in your case is to treat hypertension and dyslipidemia (cholesterol levels) as you are already doing.
Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
