Suggest Treatment When Diagnosed With Vitamin D Deficiency

Ill help you with the correct disease.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Vitamin D deficiency is very common in XXXXXXX and most people are suffering from it. Now a days many clinicians including me are not giving importance to this test if the person has no appropriate symptoms.
In case of Vitamin D deficiency, we prescribe our patients either weekly injection or oral formulations in dose of 60,000 U once a week for 3 months followed by once a month till the levels come in adequate range.
You can buy the supplement in tablet or in XXXXXXX form available commonly as in dose known as 60 K. This is to be taken once a week only.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Check Serum ferritin.
Detailed Answer:
Hi. Yes the dose is optimal. Vitamin D in my clinical experience doesn't help in leg cramps if the Serum calcium is normal.
You should also get Serum Iron and Serum Ferritin done as iron deficiency anemia is also a common cause.
I would keep the possibility of Rest less Leg syndrome in cases where all investigations are normal.
I would advice you to start on a supplement containing Vitamin E and Levocarnitine for the same.
Write back to me with reports.

In injectable form
Detailed Answer:
Hi, That 6 lacks IU dose is to be used in injectable form. It's a high dose regimen. But i personally prefer to use 60,000 IU available as 60 K Tablet or Sachets once a week.
I hope it helps.
Take Care.

You can carry on with that.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have see the reports as well as his prescription. He has advised you this dosage is injection form only as we have discussed.
You can go ahead with the same treatment as given by your doctor.
This would eventually help you in getting the deficiency treated.
Good Luck.
