Question : I have an infected salivary gland and have taken 4 x 500 mg doses of cefadroxil (10 day prescription) . How long before I can expect my facial swelling to go down?

The swelling will come down with in 2 weeks after appropriate drugs.
Usually, I prescribe Antibiotic and add anti inflammatory tablet also.In few cases, I add Trypsin and Chymotrypsin combination tablet to reduce edema.
I request you to consult your doctor and get anti inflammatory tablet also.
