Brief Answer:
In DM type 1 needs: blood glucose control and insulin management, exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern,

If you are having diabetes at this age, then most likely you are the diabetes mellitus type 1 (please let me know if any other types got detected otherwise) and you need to work closely with your Diabetologist to determine which insulin/s are best for you and your body.

Do let me know in case there's any further specific queries (eg. since when it's detected, how were the blood sugar levels, how is the trend of your present blood sugar levels, what type of medications are you currently taking etc.), I'll be happy to assist you further.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Thank you for using HCM.
Wish you good health.
