Suggest Ways To Deal With Lack Of Attention And Hyperactivity In A Child
Question: My son is struggling at school. His teacher tells me he interrupts all the time with information about the topic they are talking about, he doesn't want to participate in activities and he overreacts a lot. He tells me that people 'dob' on him all the time and he doesn't like it. Everyone tells me there is something wrong with him but I have been to a paediatrician, psychologists and gps and have no answers and the teacher still thinks there is something wrong. I don't know what to do.

Inattention and over activity may be suggestive of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD).For the diagnosis of ADHD the behavioral abnormality must be there in two different settings(like at home and in school).
In such situation where you are getting constant complaints from teachers and pediatrician,psychologists all have cleared him,I would suggest you to recover CCTV footage if the facility is available in his school.With the help of footage the pediatrician will be able to evaluate his behavior.If CCTV footage is not available you can request the teacher to help you by making the clips.
The another possibility is that the teachers themselves are overreacting.You will get to know about this with the help of clipings and in that case you can talk to teachers or change in school may be needed.
