Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..
I understand your concern..
There is no specific medication to increase the chance of normal pregnancy..
But to have multiple pregnancy, ovulation induction drugs like clomiphene can be tried. Twins and triplets has been reported with this tablet but not always. Singleton pregnancy is more common. Here fetus can be screened by obtaining fetal blood for genetic screening by amniocentasis.
ICSI and IVF is another option to get multiple pregnancy. Here babies can be screened genetically with fetal cells to some extent prior to embryo transfer. But once embryo transfer is done, even one abnormal fetus if abortion process is initiated all the fetus will be expelled. Moreover it is an expensive procedure..
Another option is donor insemination or donor ovum which is not accepted by many couples.
Hope I have answered your query. Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..

IVF is quite expensive here and donor insemination is definitely not an option.
Whats the assurance that the test for genotype before birth could be dependable and to an extent accurate?
The accuracy of these tests are still under study

Hi,
Thanks for writing..
The exact accuracy of theses tests are still under study..
Chorionic villus sampling and fetal DNA obtained can be studied at 12 weeks, so affected child can be terminated at the earliest. Fetal DNA study has a good accuracy. Fetal blood and amniotic cells can be collected by 17 weeks for the test.
I would advise you to go for fetal DNA test at 12 weeks through chorionic villus sampling..
