Suggest Ways To Manage Poor Appetite And Fussy Eating In Infant

Gradual increase in semisolid food will help
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
The baby should be exclusively breast fed till 6 months of age and then gradual introduction of semisolid food helps in fulfilling the demand of child for proper growth.
It is a gradual process and takes time.Start with few spoons and then increase the amount gradually.
Introduce the food item one by one at interval of few days to observe if there is intolerance or allergy to any particular item.
The consistency of food should be semisolid so that the baby need not to make much effort.
I don't recommend cerelac as it is nothing but made up of rice and other cereals.Better you give home made items.Introduce mashed rice/oats first mixed in dal.You can make khichdi, suji ka halwa to increase the variety.Gradually you can add other cereals.Be cautious when you add wheat, rye and barley as it contains gluten,a chemical which can cause allergy in few babies.
Similarly don't add cow milk or egg till one year of age as few babies can be intolerant to these items.
Also give mashed boiled potato, apple and banana.Add some ghee, butter to the feed to make it calorie dense and to meet the nutritional demand of the baby.
Keep the baby in your lap and feed him with your own hand.Wash your hand properly every time before feeding.Eruption of teeth starts at 6 months but it may take few more months to accept home food directly(in unmashed form).
Continue breast feed as per demand.
Monitor the weight gain of baby as it is a very good parameter to assess the quality and quantity of feed.
I hope this helps.
If there is any more query please let me know.

I don't recommend albendazole in such condition
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back
I don't recommend albendazole in such small babies without any specific reason. Albendazole is a deworming agent and chance of infection is very very less in this age as it is food born infection due to poor hygiene and baby of this age are predominantly breast fed.
I always suggest to prefer homemade foods over the cerelac(processed items).
I shall be glad to answer if you have any more queries.
Regards
