Suggest Ways To Manage The Side Effects Of Chemotherapy
Question: Friend was diagnosed with cancer in September 2015. She died July 19,2016. She had 4 chemo sessions but they made her very weak. She fell down in the house while I was away working and couldn't get herself up for hours until I got home. She fell down 3 times while I was away. Why didn't chemotherapy extend her quality of life?

It depends on many factors like- how positive will chemotherapy be for every single person.
It depends on first case on type of tumor, stage, grade, presence of metastasis, age and several other factors. Also, chemotherapy may be efficient in some people and in some not, no matter if they have the same type of tumor.
This differs simply from individual to individual and no one can predict the outcome. The same can be said for side effects, which may be more or less negative.
So doctors will always try to do everything for life prolongation and life quality but sometime we can't influence on the disease course.
