Suggest Ways To Reduce Blood Sugar Levels
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I currently went to get a second opinion of my concern of possibly being diabetic. My fasting blood sugar came back 101 which they said is higher then it should be. My A1c was again a 4.8. Why would one test be good but the other one not good? Is there anything i can do to lower my blood sugar until i can get back in? Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Glucose tolerance test
Detailed Answer:
Good day.
Noted your question.
Fasting sugar and Hba1c are not always linear. which means that Fasting sugars can be elevated but with a normal Hba1c. your Fasting glucose is above 100 which indicate Impaired Fasting glucose. May I suggest you to get a 75 gram glucose tolerance test done? This is a simple test which will predict your chances of getting future diabetes.
Till you arrange for this test, you may do weight reduction and exercise which will be helpful to bring down your Fasting glucose levels.
