
Suggest Ways To Rule Out Breast Cancer

Question: Hi iam 30 years women recently 9 months back I delivered a baby girl and a nursing mother. The problem is 10 days back I found a small cyst on surface of right side of breast.I went to doctor she told as sebaceous cyst suggested sofimax ointment I applied but no affect it is not fluid filled and it is painless iam more worried about breast cancer please help..

I understand your concerns. But as per your description, this is unlikely to be cancer because of two reasons. First of all, it is on the surface. Breast cancer rarely starts from the surface. And second it is cystic. Cancers are not usually not cystic.
Most likely it is due blocked duct of a skin gland. These are painless unless very much distended. It may not go away with antibiotic cream but probably will subside spontaneously in some time.
If it doesn't, then minor surgical procedure may be required.
Overall, there is nothing to worry.
