Suggest Ways To Strengthen Lower Back, Buttocks, Legs And Arms
I forgot to add Medications I also suffer from Bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome 10 surgeries over 20 surgical procedures With no good outcome. They had me on heavy doses of morphine for the last 15 years And I didn't even know there was anything wrong with my back I was crushing my spine the last 10 years.. They also had me on Celebrex , Ambien, trazadone, skelexa, abilify, anti seizer meds, welbutrin, suboxone, The list just keeps going on it's been since 94 was my first surgery In my last hand surgery was in 02 And I'm beginning to believe That I never Had carpal tunnel.Have bulging discs Arthritis And stenosis C6 and 7 Which causes carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms So I probably never had carpal tunnel because the surgeries never worked. So I still need a surgical procedure done on my neck to free up my hands and arms before I lose all of my muscle Which there's not much muscle left.Sorry if this got a little long I will wait for your response Thank you

Detailed Answer:
Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
Keeping in view your surgical history , in my opinion it is not wise to go for the vigorous physical activities right now in order to strengthen your muscles.
You should start with regular walk on even surfaces. Daily walk is perfect for you right now. Walking uphill is particularly useful for strengthening your hip muscles along with the thigh muscles. It has a very positive effect on back muscles too.
Yes, you can do weight lifting for strengthening your arms.
You can use protein shakes. I will recommend you to take it before and after the physical activities. Make sure that it must contain Glutamine and Carnitine. It will help you building muscles along with gaining weight.
