Brief Answer:
anti-craving drugs will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.

First, there is always a hope. You can quit these drugs of abuse with high motivation.

The two main issues which are to adderessed in de-addiction treatment are:
1. Management of withdrawals- The symptomatic treatment is given in this.
Say you have insomnia and anxiety as withdrawals, then drugs like clonazepam can help in these symptoms.
The withdrawals usually require short-term treatment. Most symptoms disappear within 1 month or so.
Do you experience any withdrawal symptoms?

2. Reducing the cravings: Some drugs like baclofen, topiramate and naltrexone can help in reducing the cravings. But you have to keep your will power high at all times.

You can do it.
Kindly consult a psychiatrist or a addiction medicine specialist for proper treatment.

Hope this helps.

Feel free to ask further.

Take care.
Thanks.

I do have anxiety and insomnia ie the 230am question. I have difficulty with opening up 2 doctors here I have a history with them and not all of it is good. I asked for help while I was in the hospital and the doctor said there was nothing he could do for me I threw my iv at him, getting myself arrested and thrown in jail which led 2 a binge on release. where is a good place 2 start with asking a doctor for this type of help? I have a good job I have a family and I think it's time 2 quit these drugs they have cost me a lot I don't want to let the cravings and abuse rule my life any longer. It just so hard at times not 2 give in

Brief Answer:
addiction medicine specialist will help.

Detailed Answer:
Your anxiety and insomnia are probably due to withdrawal from drugs.

I would request you to try to control your anger so that you do not end up in more legal complications in future.

The best place would be consult an addiction medicine specialist who deals in such cases. You can request for an inpatient detoxification programme.
This will be helpful for you to deal with withdrawals as well as craving.

Your cravings are very strong. Anti-craving drugs which I mentioned earlier should help you.

I wish you good health.
If you need further assistance from, I am always available.

Take care.
Thanks.
