Suggest Ways To Wean Off Metoprolol

Question: How can I safely get off metoprolol tartrate? I take 25 mg a day and hate the way it make me feel.

I am sorry to hear that you are having side effects from your metoprolol. The dose you are on is very low and you can stop it now if you wish. There is no withdrawal of other problems with stopping the medication. I would though recommend calling your doctor and seeing if there is any other medication that they can prescribe for his blood pressure control. I usually recommend using amlodipine or norvasc to help with blood pressure control as long as you do not have congestive heart failure.
