Question: my son is already taking arip 10 mg from the last 15 days, now the concerned doctor has advised to take pacitane 2mg after breakfast. what is the purpose of this medicine. Earlier he had also

Arip contains Aripiprazole.
It is a dopamine stabilizer can have extrapyramidal side effects (EPS)(e.g masked faces, tremor, rigidity, slow walk etc.).
It is not necessarily that EPS will occur to every individual who takes Aripiprazole, but it can occur in some.
Hence, some psychiatrists prescribe Pacitene, contains Trihexyphenidyl, to prevent such side effects
