Taking Champix. Safe For Wife To Conceive?
Question: Is it safe for men to concieve while taking champix?

Champix (Varenicline) is contraindicated in female during pregnancy and lactation.
But its effect on male is not clearly defined till now.
As per the available literature up to now champix will not affect the quality of the sperm.
It can affect the sexual desire and can cause mood changes to some extent.
As smoking can decrease sperm count and can affect the quality of sperm, quitting the smoking will definitely help in improving these parameters of semen.
So possibly you may not have any problem because of champix in fertility.
