The type and severity of allergy symptoms vary from allergy to allergy and child to child. Allergies may commonly show up as itchy eyes or an itchy nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, throat tightness, trouble breathing, and even shock (faintness or passing out).Food allergy or cross reaction to pollen may cause the following,
1.itchy mouth and throat when food is swallowed (some kids have only this symptom — called "oral allergy syndrome")
2.hives (raised, red, itchy bumps)
3.eczematous rash
4.runny, itchy nose
5.abdominal cramps accompanied by nausea and vomiting or diarrhea (as the body attempts to flush out the food allergen)
6.difficulty breathing,shock in severe cases.
The symptoms you mention are more likely in case of an infection mostly viral or chronic bacterial.
In order to confirm the diagnosis a physical examination by a doctor and detailed history is needed.
So if feasible kindly provide the details of the onset duration and progress of the symptoms.
It is advisable to consult a pediatrician if the problem persists even after a couple of days after removal of suspected allergen to confirm the cause and start apropriate treatment.
