Took Benadryl For Sore Throat. Not Cured. What To Do Now?
Question: I helped paint a room yesterday and after two hours my throat began to feel sore and scratchy. It got worse in the night and the only thing that helped was Benadryl. This morning it still feels aweful XXXXXXX tongue is swollen. What do I do?
Hi
The dust that was raised during painting is the cause for your upper respiratory tract infection.
Because of associated inflammation, the tongue got swollen.
Please take antibiotic Azithromycin, anti inflammatory drug, antihistamine tablet.
No need for corticosteroid Benadryl.
It will come down.
Avoid cool drinks.
Mouth gargle will help you a lot
Nothing to worry
Wish you good health
