Thank you for your query.
Loose stool is a symptom of many different gastrointestinal conditions. So a little more information from you can greatly help.
-Fever?
-Vomiting?
-Nausea?
-When exactly did the symptoms start and with what (which symptom)?
-Before the first symptom, which was the last meal?
-What was the duration between this last meal and the first symptom?
-Color of your stool?
-Any blood in the stool? Mucus in the stool?
Any extra information can helps. I await your reply, and once I have more information on your condition, we can easily diagnose and accordingly treat it. Do not worry.
In the meantime, please consume as much water as you can, as you will be loosing a lot of fluids. A probiotic (Yakult drink in India) will greatly help, or G-NORM capsule or XXXXXXX to be taken three times a day. This will promote digestion and formation of stools.
Looking forward to your reply.
Best wishes.
That is really valuable information. Thank you for that.
It appears as though you could be suffering from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). IBS is further divided into ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
Symptoms include:
-Abdominal pain or discomfort
-Bloating due to gas (after being exposed to trigerring food)
-Irritation from triggering factors result in aggravation of condition
-Diarrhea or constipation
This condition is mainly triggered by food which can irritate the gut, resulting in the symptoms. The symptoms can continue till contact with triggering food factors is discontinued for a while.
Some of the most common triggering food items are:
-Caffeine
-Tea
-Oily fried or fatty food
-Popcorn
-Dairy products
-Carbonated drinks
-Sugar containing drinks
-Spicy food
-Alcohol
-Stress
A few less common food items include broccoli, sprouts, cauliflower, peas, onions, etc.
I would request you to wish a doctor (gastroenterologist) for evaluation and diagnosis. Treatment for IBS mainly involves:
-Controlling an aggravated condition (with anti-spacmodic medication)
-Educating the patient about the condition in order to avoid triggering factors
-Maintaining an unaggravated state
I hope this information helps. Do write back to me for further information or clarifications.
Best wishes.
