Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
If you ovulated on the 22nd and had intercourse around ovulation, then your chances of conception are very high provided you have no other difficulties like progesterone deficiency and tubal problems.
If you had been noting your sustain if conception occurs. This is the earliest way to predict conception if performed properly. Otherwise, you can get serum beta-hCG measurement one week prior to your expected period.
After a missed period, you can perform a HPT between 3-7 days. You can get a confirmatory trans-vaginal sonogram at around the missed period.
Hope I have answered your query. If you need further clarifications, please feel free to ask. I will be happy to help.

Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
You are pretty lucky in that you started ovulating so soon after the shot; it takes 9-10 months for ovulation to occur on an average after the last injection. Absence of periods is a common feature after the depo shot.
Never mind if you are not aware when you should get your period. You can calculate like this-take your date of ovulation and you can get a blood test approximately 10 days later. You can get a sonogram 3 weeks after ovulation, so also a urine test if you need it.
Hope I have been clear. If you need any more clarifications, please contact me. I will be ready to help.
Wish you success.

and if I haven't had a period in so long I don't know when its going to be so how will I know if its missed or not
Hi,
Thanks for writing again.
The only way for you to know whether you have conceived now is by testing in the order I have given earlier. If you have not conceived but ovulated, you will get a period approximately 14 days after ovulation. If you have not ovulated either, you may get a period as late as 9 months after the last injection you took because disruptions of the menstrual cycle are expected to last long after the injection.
Hope I have clarified all your doubts. If you have no further questions, please close this discussion and rate this answer.
Wish you good health.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
A serum beta hCG test can be taken 10 days after ovulation while a urine pregnancy test can be taken 3-7 days after a missed period. A trans-vaginal sonogram can confirm a pregnancy at 4-5 weeks, i.e., 3 weeks after ovulation.
Your chances of being pregnant are very high as you had unprotected intercourse around your most fertile period. Sperms remain active for 3-5 days in the natural environment while ovum lives for a maximum of 24 hours after release. If no conception occurs, you will have a period 14 days after ovulation.
Hope I have answered your query. Please get back if you need further clarifications. I will be happy to help.
Wish you good health.

Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
If you have ovulated and if you did not conceive, you will definitely have a period 2 weeks after the date of ovulation. If you do not get a period 2 weeks after the date of your ovulation, then it becomes a missed period.
HCG is human chorionic gonadotropin produced by the egg after conception. This helps to maintain the corpus luteum, the structure that remains in the ovary after the egg is released, to produce progesterone and maintain the pregnancy. It is a protein with two sub units-alpha and beta. It is the level of the beta unit which is tested in pregnancy tests.
A test for beta-hCG in the serum detects a pregnancy earlier than the urine pregnancy test. Thus it can be taken even before the next period is due when a pregnancy is strongly suspected; in your case because you are not getting periods, you can take the test at around 10-12 days after the date of ovulation which you know already.
Hope I have made this clear. Please get back if you have further queries. Otherwise, if all your queries are answered, please close this discussion.

Hi,
Thanks for writing.
Yes, a pregnancy test can read positive with a two weeks pregnancy, if it is a blood test. A urine pregnancy test can read positive in the third week after pregnancy as urine tests are less sensitive than blood tests.
Take care.

I took a pregnancy it came up negitive but I still haven't had a period but know I ovulated could something be wrong
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
If you had ovulated on the 22nd of march and took a urine pregnancy test now, it would not show up as it is too early. You will have to wait for at least another 4-5 days before you can get a positive urine pregnancy test if you have conceived. You can get a blood test now- a serum beta-hCG measurement and that would show up if you are pregnant.
Hope I have answered your query. Please get back if you need further clarifications.
Wish you good health.
