What Does This Scan Report Signify?

I JUST FINISHED TAKING LETROZOLE, I WENT IN FOR A ULTRASOUND AND THEY FOUND 2 FOLLICALS ONE SIZE 22 AND ONE SIZE 20, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN. CAUSE NOW THEY WANT ME TO INJECT MYSELF WITH CHORIONIC GONADOTROPIN. WHAT DOES THE FOLLICALS MEAN AND WHAT WILL THE INJECTION DO ?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your USG finding is absolutely normal.Injection will help in ovulation.
There are two dominant follicle in the ovary(side is not mentioned in the report).
One of the dominant follicle will take part in ovulation and will be available for fertilization.Generally 20-25 mm is the maximum size of follicle at the time of ovulation.
You should plan unprotected intercourse within 24-48 hours of ovulation for maximum chances of fertilization.
After intercourse female should lay down in bed with folded hips and knees for 15 mins so that sperm can move inside the female genital tract easily.
