1. Can not send
2. THe ultrasound report says there is a mild heterogeneity to the echo pattern of the right lobe. There ia tiny less than 2mm hypoechoic nodule in the midportion of the right lobe. The left lobe has a long axis of 4.7 cm with mildly heterogeneous echo pattern as well. No focal nodules are seen in the left lobe. The isthmust of the thyroid gland is normal. Conclusion somewhat heterogeneous echo pattern to the thyroid gland. There is a tiny XXXXXXX sthan 2 mm ndule in the midportion of the right lobe.
3. Had blood work all was good.
4. Take iron because of low iron ferritin for 20+ years

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query.
Let me start off by urging you to seek the advice of a General Surgeon as there is no substitute for direct history taking and physical examination.
Based on the findings of the USG report and your thyroid reports being normal I can think of two things:
1. Diffuse Hyperplasia of the Thyroid Gland
2. Tumor of the Thyroid Gland.
1. Diffuse Hyperplasia of the Thyroid Gland
Diffuse Hyperplasia of the Thyroid is a condition wherein there is increase in the demand for thyroid hormones by the body due to various conditions. In order to XXXXXXX the demands the thyroid gland enlarges to XXXXXXX such demands. This usually returns to normal when the demands are met.
2. Tumor of the Thyroid Gland.
Continuing from the above the explanation. During the process of meeting the increased demand sometimes few parts of the Thyroid Gland may undergo excess change than that is required. These form the nodules in the Gland. Unless biopsy in done I cannot comment further.
I hope my answer has been adequate and informative. If you have any follow up queries I will be available to answer them.
