a)Do you have any symptoms (mainly pain abdomen) for this stone?briefly describe that and also tell the severity of the symptoms i mean how intense is that and how often it comes.

b)Do you have attacks of urinary tract infections recently?

c)Do you have swelling of leg/body and decrease urine volume?

d)Can you please attach the USG report?if not possible then please write the reports (last few lines of reports which is in XXXXXXX lines and mention as impression)

Till I see the report, I cannot comment on the fact that you have a urinary tract infection or not.
Alongside, to rule out a decrease in kidney function, we need some tests like urea, creatinine and if needed DTPA scan to see kidney function.

Given the condition, you do have have hydronephrosis also so you need urgent removal of stone.

You remember till today there are three way to remove the stone from kidney 1)Lithotripsy(stone is broken by shock wave to very small pieces) 2)Percuteneous nephrolithotomy (stone remove by doing a whole on the back ) and 3)Surgical removal by open abdomen methods.

But choice of this method depend on size,site,number,patient condition and economic factors.

Remember one thing clearly there is no drug which can melt ca oxalate stone only if you can take plenty of water it can come during urination by the force of urine but in your cases the chance is very low as the stone size crosses 6mm (up to 6 mm size one can wait and watch if he is asymptomatic)
So please consult a nephrologist as soon as possible and get an evaluation done.

Thanks for your query.

I see the reports of blood, urine and USG-KUB reports you attached.

Your blood investigation report says creatinine level is normal suggesting but it was of the month of May. So you need to repeat the test now too see recent renal function status. You need to do a blood urea nitrogen (BUN) test, as in very early stage of renal impairment, creatinine level may be normal but blood urea level is always elevated.

In your USG report, only a single 6.8 mm calculus is seen in left renal calculus without any hydronephrotic changes, though the report is 5 months old. Therefore, you need to repeat a USG now too see the calculus status.

Your urine test report did not show any evidences of urinary tract infection.

So you need to repeat blood urea, creatinine, USG-KUB and if needed DTPA scan to evaluate renal function.

Take plenty of water and please consult a nephrologist and get this evaluation done and follow his opinion regarding further management.
