Question: Hello, I would like to know if I had any risk of a std like syphilis, as I was for first time in my life in a massage parlour four days ago. I got a full body massage with oil, and at the end she gave me a handhob with her nude hands, no condom or gloves were used only oil massage, she was all time dressed and there was not sexual contac with her genitals . The room was dark and I could not see any wounds on her hands. after eyaculation she whased her hands. I am a little concerned cause I was reading on the net that there are possiblities of skin to skin transmission with syphilis, herpes or papiloma. I am circumcised. What types of risk I could get after that situation?. Thank you

Brief Answer:
No need to worry! You are safe

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your concern and I have understood it.

Your sexual encounter can be considered to be absolutely safe. Handjob does'nt carry any risk of acquiring syphilis, herpes, HIV. Firstly, Treponema pallidum(the causative organism of syphilis), Herpes simplex virus(HSV) and HIV cannot survive outside the body for long and there is very a remote possibility of transmission provided she had cuts on her hands and somehow you also had a skin break and the bacteria OR virus entered your body through the break in your skin directly through the cuts on her hand...it is all hypothetical!! Warts can be transmitted by skin to skin contact, provided she had warts on her hand.

Otherwise you have nothing to worry about. Be relaxed and stay healthy!!

Ok sir, thank you for your answer. But I would like to know, as I am circumcised from childhood, and this fact would make my skin less resistant to skin abrassions ??and, in terms of protection for her or for me, which one element is more proctective, I mean, is male preservative better than latex hand gloves or gloves are better than preservatives because they cover completely her hands surface. Thank you again!!!

Brief Answer:
You are safe!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

After circumcision the skin over the glans becomes keratinized within a week or 10 days, so it does'nt stay less resistant to abrasions as compared to that it previously was when it was before, all the time covered with prepuce. However, the glans does'nt loses it sensitivity even after becoming keratinized after circumcision.

Regarding the protection methods you wish to inquire as to which one out of the two is more protective, I would say if you could use both of them at the same time, then together they are more safer than either of them used alone, but what's the fun in that? So I would assume, gloves would be safer than a condom, precisely for the same reason that you gave!!

take care
