What Are Chances Of Pregnancy After Nordette Pill Intake Followed By Unprotected Sex?
Question: Hi, I have a question regarding Nordette contraceptive pills. My menstrual period has lasted from 13 May - 16 May 2014. After that, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on 20 May 2014. He ejaculated inside me but I was worried so I took 4 tablets of Nordette pills as emergency contraceptive after that, then I took another 4 tablets after 12 hours. And then after 24 hours, I took another 3 tablets, until 23 May around the same time, I took 2 tablets. I had a bit symptoms like nausea, lost of appetite and back pain. But I had a sudden abdominal pain during the evening time on 23 May, so I took 1 tablet of Buscopan 10mg. Thus, my abdominal pain relieved. Should I continue to take the Nordette pills daily? (1 tablet per day) I'm 25 and we are not ready for a baby yet. Am I still having risk of getting pregnant? Please help me! Thanks.

You should use a regular & reliable contraception if you are not ready for a pregnancy. Birth control pills are a good option.

Thanks Dr. Qureshi! I've been worried for days! I know my menstrual cycle might up mess up after taking the Nordette pills. So should I stop taking the Nordette pills from now on?
