Thanks for posting the query.
The drumstick tree with all it’s parts is a store house of naturally available nutrients. The leaves are also considered beneficial for health and are very nutritious. These are XXXXXXX in protein, antioxidants, fiber, vitamins( especially Vit. A and C.) and are very good source of calcium. Dried leaves are especially XXXXXXX in iron.
As mentioned by your mother these are good for normal vision because of its Vit A and antioxidant properties. During pregnancy it helps in improving the hemoglobin profile and to ensure a sufficient calcium intake. It’s also good for correcting throat, chest and skin infections along with other numerous benefits.
You should however be careful with the doses per day. These are natural laxatives and its over consumption may lead to loose stools or other stomach problems. Always choose the fresh and green leaves only.
Hope this satisfies your query.

Because of the increased physical needs there are additional nutritional requirements. It's important that you include protein XXXXXXX foods like mature pulses, legumes, milk and its products and also include the pulses in sufficient quantities. If you eat non vegetarian food, include the white meats and eggs in the diet.
I would also advise a regular in take of salads, fruits and vegetables in the daily diet . Use plenty of green leafy vegetables and stay hydrated. you may include tender coconut water, fresh lemon juice or soups also.
The foods that you need to consider avoiding are papaya, pineapple and ragi. Also foods that contain preservatives, additives or foods that are too refined should not be taken. Consume fresh foods, the convenient foods like preserved and packed foods may be harmful.
Avoid the strong chemical fumes, like toilet cleaners and deodorants etc. and never take any medication (including over the counter drugs), without consulting with your doctor.
You have asked about pasta and pizza in the question, these foods are ok and may be consumed occasionally, you need to be careful with the Chinese food as it may contain MSG (monosodium glutamate / ajinomot0).
Take small and frequent meals and do some light physical activities regularly, after consulting with the doctor.
