What Are The Chances Of HIV After Protected Sexual Intercourse?
Question: Hi, I recently had protected sexual intercourse with a hooker, however, oral was unprotected in Early July. This past week, I had sex with two previous partners unprotected (one I found out had a yeast infection) and developed a red rash (sunday night) that grew into a blister (had a little pus) on my penile shaft (tuesday morning) and went to the doctor to get it checked thursday morning. They believe it looked like herpes, however, it did not itch, nor did it have any irritation. The doctors gave me some herpes medication that I took for two days, but I also applied yeast infection cream to the affected area. By Saturday evening, the affected area had disappeared and my penis looks completely normal. Though, I do have a sore throat, but that may have came from being at a dusty music festival where I am allergic to dust. I took a home HIV test about 8 weeks after the encounter with the prostitute and it came back negative. My understanding is that it is not completely reliable until after 12 weeks, but negative after 8 weeks is definitely a good sign. Some of my other symptoms is that I had a case of Rhabdo about two weeks ago (early to mid september) but that I have had Rhabdo twice before and my CK count was 7,000 rather than the two previous incidents last year around 120,000 and 80,000. I also was doing Crossfit when the most recent accident happened, so I don't think its exactly related though I found a few articles. Question is, what does this sound like I have? I understand Herpes is typically painful and an outbreak would last much longer than 5/6 days. But also that everyone is different. Does the following situation sound like HIV, Herpes? Maybe even Syphilis? More so, how likely would it be that I get HIV orally from a prostitute? I understand Herpes is most definitely a risk.

I gave gone through the details. The lesions morphology is not clear. But by the description given it may be herpes or fungal infection as you have used both treatment.
Syphilis is unlikely. The chance by unprotected vaginal intercourse is 1/200 to 1/2000 and more rare by oral sex.
HIV by oral sex is unlikely unless there is ulcer or abrasions in oral cavity. The home test detect antibodies so better after 12 weeks.I do not see any relation between rhabdo and HIV or HIV test
It is good HIV test is negative. You can go for HIV RNA PCR test at this stage or antibody tests after 12 weeks to relieve anxiety

Fungal infection can also lead to redness and minor white rashes.
Injuries also heal by themselves.
