Brief Answer:
HIV risk is low but still need to test for it.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I have taken note of your query and I have understood it.

The risk of acquiring HIV through receptive peno-oral sexual contact is very low but not absolutely Zero.
Surely there would be some exchange of fluids during an oral sex lasting for 5 minutes or so.
Any amount of genital secretions is considered to be a source of infection, if indeed he was HIV positive.
If you had any sores or breaks in the mucosa at that time it would increase the chances.

HIV can transmit through vaginal, anal as well as oral route, therefore, it is always advisable to get yourself screened for HIV after a risky sexual encounter.

Since it is already been 3 months since this happened therefore the simplest way to relieve your tension is to take up a rapid/ spot test for HIV today itself, which would be conclusive.

The skin lesions that you have on arm is most likely a mosquito bite.

Brief Answer:
Risk is not Zero through peno oral route

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

The risk is not exactly known but it is not a Zero. Therefore transmission through oral route is not impossible.

You can also go through the CDC guidelines regarding that.

Kindly go through the following link: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/risk/behavior/oralsex.html

Most of the individuals who practice oral sex also perform other forms of sex during the same sexual encounter like vaginal sex, therefore it is not possible to determine the exact risk only through oral sex.

I would recommend testing because it would be conclusive and out your mind at ease.

Brief Answer:
Get a screening test for HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

As far as the oral sex is concerned it has the lowest risk of transmission of HIV out of all forms of sex.
Most likely you would be negative for HIV as well but you need to document it by tests. You cannot just assume it.

Brief Answer:
Most likely you would test negative for HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Please don't be anxious.
Most likely your HIV report will come out as negative because the risk through oral route is low.
Therefore you should get tested and once you get a negative result that would put an end to your stress.
Go just ahead and get tested.
It is always better to screen for HIV after any form of risky/ unprotected sexual contact whether it is oral, vaginal or anal.

Regards
Always practice safe sex in future
