What Are The Chances Of HIV Transmission Through Protected Sex?
Question: Hello Doctor,
12 days before, I had protected anal sex with a sex worker. I found red rashes under her breast (both sides). I touch these breasts during sex. Two to three times, my penis came out of the anus and then touching the condumn, I inserted my penis again into the anus. Also, during the sex, she lick my scrotum.
Yesterday, there was itching on my hand at one point. Then, the place became red rash (slightly elevated). Today I am having itching all over my body (like punching by a needle). No red rash other places.
Is it possible, I catch HIV from the sex-worker? By touch the condum during sex and touch the red-rashes she had ? or, She lick my scrotum etc.. ?
Please advise.

Brief Answer:
No HIV not possible.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.
In your case there is no risk of any HIV infection as the intercourse was protected. But yes if she had lesion then having the possibility of other STD related diseases including fungal infections is possible. I would be better able to guide if I could see the rash. If itching is present it could be fungal infections. You must visit a dermatologist and after proper evaluation treatment must be done.
Hope I answered your query

Dear Doctor,
Thanks for the clarification.
For better understanding, as you asked, I attached 4-pictures of rash. All pictures are same location (single place), near wrist. No rash in other places.
Last few days, I google for HIV-rash. I found HIV-rash is same as what the sex-worker had under her breasts (but spreaded to much).
- During anal sex, 2 to 3 times, I removed penis and re-inserted by touching the condum, then also touch the base of penis-shaft (bare-skin). Is it possible, HIV passed from condum to my fingers, then to base of penis-shaft and travelled to penis-head ?
- She also licked my scrotum, 2 to 3 times. Any possibility for HIV spread ?
- I read in internet, HIV-rash comes after 2 weeks of exposure. After 10 days, I find this rash and itching all over the body (like punching using tip of a needle).
Kindly check the attached pictures and advise whether I am at risk.

Brief Answer:
Could be herpes infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pics it does not appear like HIV. It could be herpes related. The spread of HIV is rare in your case. But I would suggest you to get tested for HIV PCR after 6-7 weeks or 4 th generation ELISA test after12 weeks. I would suggest you to apply triple action cream like antiviral agents and surfaz SN on the lesion for few days. Get tested for herpes by PCR test. Avoid touching the lesion. Abstain from sex for few days.
Take care
