Hi
It is unlikely to get re infected because you have used an antiseptic in the form of alcohol pad. Stay healthy, take care.

Hi.. I was diagnosed with klebsiella vaginal infection and had 3 courses of antibiotics (7days each) to cure it.. Today i used the same razor that i used before i was diagnosed.. I cleaned it with an alcohol pad and later used a betadine douche and put fusicort on my vaginal area.. I am already using Gynial passouries for balancing the PH after the antibiotic use.. My questions are.. Will i be re infected with the bacteria again? Did the douche and fusicort help?
Brief Answer:
It is unlikely to have a re infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for choosing HCM for your query regarding the possibility of re infection with klebsiella infection.
After the diagnosis of Klebsiella infection was made you had been treated for three courses of appropriate antibiotics sufficient enough to eradicate the offending organisms from your body.
The organisms can not survive for such a longer period of time on the razor you had used it before the diagnosis was made.
The fact that you have cleaned with alcohol pad and later used Betadine douch and Fusicort in the affected area virtually eradicate the microbes present in the vaginal canal beside using Gynial pessaries which help in maintaining a normal pH will ensure the eradication completely.
There is no chance of getting re-infected with the same organisms.
Hope your doubts have been cleared.
