What Are The Chances Of Having Twins Inspite Of Having 3 Matured Follicles?

Question: Had 3 matured follicles on day13 in left ovary. I took hcg injection on the same day. Is there a chance that more than 1 follicle will be ruptured leading to twins? Also am in second clomid cycle. Is it advisable to take more than 3 clomid cycles?

Following is my reply:

1) Since there are 3 mature follicles, there is possibility of twins by rupture of more than one follicle.

2) It is not advisable to take more than 3 clomid cycles if youhave not conceived.

3) If you dont conceive this cycle, go for gonadotrophin injections rather than only tablets.

Hello Doctor... Thank you so much for replying. Am already taking HCG injection along with clomid . I have another prob. I had used lubricant before. One of the doctors told me that I should stop using lube if am planning for a baby. I dont use it anymore.But in google I came across another lube called Preseed available in uk/us. It is advertised as fertility friendly and can also be imported to XXXXXXX Can I use this lube? Pls give me your suggestion.

In general lubricants are harmful. Preseed can be used safely. You can import and use.
