What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Non Penetrative Sexual Activity?

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Apr 2015
Question: I apologize if my description is crude.

I ejaculated on my girlfriends buttock (on the cheek area). I know a little dripped down her leg I am not sure if any came into contact with her vaginal area. After that I wiped it up. She was wearing thong panties (they covered her vagina area but were still thin). They were wet from her previously being aroused. She was on the 5th or 6th day of her period and was still bleeding and had a tampon in. She has a 28 day cycle. I never penetrated her at any time, I only did as described above.

What are the approximate chances of pregnancy given this situation? Is it worth it to get plan b? I want to get it but she is reluctant because she is worried plan b will make her vomit and feel generally terrible. She doesnt want days of feeling sick. However, she will take it if need be because she knows how much this concerns me.

I know there is always *a* chance of pregnancy, my concern is how large of a chance there is and whether it is worth worrying or not. I have read conflicting information about this topic.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Brief Answer:
0 % chance of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
There is absolutely no chance of pregnancy.
You never ejaculated inside the vagina.
Semen cannot penetrate the vagina even if it came into contact with the external genitalia.
Plus she was wearing panties, however thin they were, semen cannot penetrate it.
She was still bleeding, and CANNOT ovulate while bleeding.
A tampon was in.
There is just NO WAY a pregnancy can occur.
Plan B is of no use here, just not required.
All the best

Thank you for your timely reply.

Are you certain? To be clear, I ejaculated near her vaginal area on her buttocks. My concern is that a miniscule amount would be able to penetrate her wet and thin underwear, and survive up to 5 days until she ovulates. It is my understanding that sperm can survive up to 5 days in a female body.

It should be noted that we are both teenagers, which means that her ovulation cycle is still trying to become "regular" if my understanding is correct.

Thank you again.

Brief Answer:
Re explained in detail.

Detailed Answer:
Well, you have to trust me in my professional capacity when I reiterate the following facts, and try to elaborate on them scientifically, to better your understanding of them -
1. Vaginal penetrative sex has to occur for semen to be deposited in the vaginal canal.
The vagina is a muscular tube.
It has to be penetrated for semen to enter it, semen deposited even on the external genitalia of the female cannot enter the vagina automatically.

This might clarify your comprehension of the subject.
2. Seminal fluid cannot penetrate a single layer of thin clothing, however wet it was.
3. Even if sperm survives for 5 days, she would NOT ovulate on day 10 of her cycle.

Even if ovulation is trying to become regular, day 10 is way too early .
Needless to say, the tampon was a further barrier inside.
I can categorically state that there is no risk of pregnancy.
Take care.
