What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy Through Pre-ejaculatory Fluid?
Had non penetrative sex on 1st Dec morning - might have got some sperm on her clitoris - washed vagina in 3-5 minutes. Took emergency contraception that afternoon. Girl had her periods on 6th Dec (1 week early). Got her blood test done on 17th Dec. Result Negative. Should I be worried about pregnancy?
Question 2 (Unrelated to Question 1)
> If a drop of post-sperm clear-liquid lands on her vaginal orifice will this lead to a pregnancy?
> If this drop on vaginal orifice is washed with water will it enter the vagina while washing & lead to pregnancy?
> Does regular bath soap kill sperm immediately (within seconds)?
> How soon does sperm die if it comes in contact with tap water (I am referring to Osmotic Shock). Please mention time in seconds or minutes.
> If around 5 ml of sperm is dropped on orifice, will it lead to pregnancy if some of it drips inside? (just curious to know)

Thank You

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Let me clear all your doubts.
Firstly, Question 1.
There is no question of pregnancy with non penetrative sex, and with some sperm on the clitoris.
You also took the emergency contraceptive in good time.
The pregnancy test was negative 17 days after the act, and if she has regular cycles, every doubt of pregnancy is removed.
Are her cycles normal ?
Now, for Question 2 .
- A drop of post sperm clear liquid landing on the vaginal orifice is not possible without penetrative sex. And if the drop just landed on the vaginal orifice and did not enter the vaginal canal, pregnancy is impossible.
- If it is washed away, it will not enter the vaginal canal.
- Yes, regular bath soap kills sperm within seconds.
- Sperm is washed away when it comes into contact with tap water, within seconds obviously, and then it depends on where it goes. I fail to see the logic of the intended question, tap water will remove / kill the sperm within seconds.
- If seminal fluid ( even 1 ml ) enters the vaginal orifice, it can cause a pregnancy. If dropped on the orifice, it will not cause a pregnancy unless it is inside the vaginal canal.
Hope this clarifies things.
Take care.
> Her periods are fairly regular. She says sometimes they come few days early or are few days late. Her period on 6th Dec lasted 4-5 days. Her last periods were a week early - was it due to emergency contraception?
> If the SPERM DROP is near the orifice and while washing it if the water-diluted-sperm enters vagina will it result in pregnancy (extremely important question)?
> Is there a need for pregnancy blood test?
> If I understand you correctly - water & soap kill sperm within seconds.
-
(Please bear with me I might have few more questions - my anxiety levels are high...super hyper).

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
- Yes, her last period was a bit early, because of the emergency contraceptive pill.
- Sperm cannot enter the orifice while washing, because it needs penetration for the sperm to enter the vaginal canal.
- There is no need at all for a pregnancy test - blood or urine.
- Yes, water and soap kill the sperm within seconds.
It is alright, shoot away as many questions as you wish !
Take care.
-
> Does explanation from my previous reply rule out her pregnancy or should I go for another blood test?
> I hear vaginal canal is acidic & hostile to sperm cells, can sperm cells from single drop make it successfully to the egg?
> Are emergency contraceptive life threatening. I hear people consume 2 in a month.
As below
Detailed Answer:
- Yes, the explanation rules out pregnancy or the need for a blood test.
- Vaginal canal is not hostile to sperm, otherwise nobody would ever get pregnant !
A single sperm cell can travel upwards and cause a pregnancy, but in your case, it was not deposited inside the canal ( no penetration ).
- emergency contraceptive pills are never life threatening, but they cause complications and side effects, which are undesirable and avoidable. They lead to irregular cycles as a main complication, which is never a good thing. There are wonderful options to them, such as a condom, which is safe and free of side effects.
Thank you for your appreciation.
Have a great day ahead !
> If the sperm drop on her vaginal orifice is left unwashed i.e. it remains there - should I be worried about it (pregnancy)?
> My GF is virgin. Will her hymen prevent sperm cell entering her vagina.
Thank You for answering my doubts. I will close the session after your answer.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
- See if you have not ejaculated inside the vagina, the drop is just on the orifice, no, you should not worry about a pregnancy.
- Yes, of course, the hymen does not allow sperm to enter the vaginal canal.
Please do not worry about closing the session.
You are welcome to ask as many questions as you wish
Take care.
> Will a drop of clear-post-ejaculate-fluid dropped on butt crack seep down to vagina & cause pregnancy (just one drop). Vagina was washed in about 5 mins.
> Does clear-post-ejaculate-fluid carry sperm in it.
> When aroused vagina turns wet, some wetness can be seen outside. Will this wetness help sperm dropped on surface move inside vagina. I hear sperm need a moist medium to travel.
> How effective is hymen in preventing sperm enter vagina.
Answer as below
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
- No a drop of clear post ejaculatory fluid dropped on butt crack cannot seep down to the vagina to cause a pregnancy.
- Post ejaculatory fluid may carry some sperm in it, very small amounts.
- No, the wetness will not draw sperm inwards unless sperm is deposited right in the vaginal canal.
- Hymen is quite effective in preventing sperm ascent into vagina.
Take care.
You said - "No a drop of clear post ejaculatory fluid dropped on butt crack cannot seep down to the vagina to cause a pregnancy".
-
I am wondering if it does naturally seeps down to vagina will lead to pregnancy? Would you recommend blood or urine tests.
As below
Detailed Answer:
It cannot seep down and enter the vagina.
It may seep down to the vulval area, but the vaginal canal is deep inside , and covered by the hymen.
It is impossible.
I would not recommend any kind of pregnancy testing.
take care.
> What if a drop of SPERM or clear post ejaculatory fluid dropped on butt crack reaches vulval areal & is LEFT UNWASHED for hours. Will this pose a risk of pregnancy.
> In this case will you recommend blood or urine test.
As below
Detailed Answer:
Please do not worry, none of your questions are silly / pointless.
Even if the drop of sperm or clear post ejaculatory fluid dropped on butt crack, that reaches the vulval area, is unwashed, even then there is no risk of pregnancy.
I would not recommend any blood or urine test in this scenario.
With below questions I am just confirming my odds of getting in serious trouble.
> In your professional career have you come across (or read) any case where sperm or clear post ejaculatory fluid dropped on butt crack reached vulva (or vagina) & resulted in pregnancy.
> Would you suggest me to not worry at all or keep my fingers crossed.
> If you have any other recommendations or suggestions please share.
As below
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
- I have never come across such a case in my life, or read about it.
- I would suggest you to just forget about the matter, not to worry about it at all.
- No other recommendations other than to trust me that there is no doubt of pregnancy.
Take care.
A few more followup questions.
> Is the vaginal discharge (sticky colorless fluid that can be seen on vulva or at the opening of vagina) water soluble - I mean if we try to wash it will it wash away easily? In general is there need for a thorough rinsing or few gentle splashes of water should be enough to remove it.
> If sperm/post ejaculatory fluid gets mixed with this sticky colorless fluid (left unwashed) is there a risk of pregnancy?
> While washing is there a chance of this fluid entering vagina (if the girl is virgin/non virgin).
> Where is this sticky colorless fluid produced. What is it called (in medical language).
Thank You
As below
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
- The discharge is not water soluble, but it is easily washed away with water. IT varies in amount and consistency at different times of the menstrual cycle. When it is scanty and thin, it can be washed with gentle splashes, and if it is thick , jelly - like , then it should be thoroughly rinsed.
- No there is no risk of pregnancy,if there is no penetration
- No, the fluid cannot enter the vagina without penetration, if the hymen is intact.
- The fluid is produced by glands in the vagina and cervix. It is called vaginal and cervical secretions.
Take care.

> Is there a need for pregnancy test in this scenario.
> Does sperm gets mixed/mashed with vaginal secretions easily (sorry this question might seem pointless but there is a certain concern/logic behind it).
As below
Detailed Answer:
No, there is no need to have a pregnancy test done in any of the above scenarios.
Sperm is secreted in the seminal fluid, and vaginal secretions are fluid too.
So obviously, the two fluids mix together.
So yes, they do.
