Please do not panic. Keep a watch on any adverse reaction.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at HCM virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your query, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.
1. First of all do not panic.
2. As such certain multivitamin preparations like M.V.I. or Eldervit are available also for intravenous use along with saline infusion.
So please do not worry. And if you have not encountered any adverse reaction like rash, low blood pressure or fainting attacks immediately after the injection, there is no need to worry.
Some injections contain additives or preservatives which are not supposed to be directly going into the blood stream, that's why those injections are meant for intramuscular use.
But for vitamin B-12 usually the risk is not there.
And it is only your suspicion that it might have gone in the blood vessel while you were given the shot in the muscle. So please do not panic or worry.
3. Please keep watch on baby's kick count, any untoward reactions mentioned above or less fetal movements , please report to your treating doctor.
I hope this answer was helpful to you!
Please kindly rate it as helpful and write a short review about your experience with me! I would appreciate that a lot.
Thank you and best regards!
