What Are The Effects Of Celexa On The Kidneys?

Question: My husband is on the following medication, and it is very likely he will need to go on Celexa. Will this drug counter act with what he is on? Is there any adverse affects with Celexa regarding kidneys? His regular physician had a heart attack, and we simply want a second opinion, as we are not as confident with the replacement physician we are working with.

Brief Answer:
no serious drug interactions with celexa.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the details.
I donot think there should be any serious drug interaction between these drugs and celexa (citalopram).
However, lexapro (escitalopram) is a more safer option then celexa in this regard.
Celexa or lexapro do not affect kidney functions by themselves.
But they should be used with caution if a person already has severe kidney disease.
Hope this helps.
