What Are The Effects Of Timing Of IUI In Relation To Ovulation?
Question: Am using gonal-f and menopur. US reveals 2 dominant ffollicles on each side 15.4 and 17.6. Am suppose to trigger with Ovidrel tonite between 10:30pm and 11pm. IUI to be down on Tuesday 11am. Am wandering IUI will miss my ovulation. Any advice. Am using frozen sperm as my husband is currently not in the country
Brief Answer:
The timing is correct.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Ovulation usually occurs after the follicle grows to a mature size of 20-22 mm. The dominant follicle of 17.6 mm size will take around 48 hours to reach the mature size after that it will rupture. Your timing of trigger and IUI are correct. You need not worry. Just stay calm. It will help.
