Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
HPV can be transmitted by sexual inter course and even by skin contact.
So there will be areas of contact during intercourse which can transmit HPV.
There would be no further risk if the partners are same as both have same type. Multiple partners have risk of acquiring more types.
But if one has not acquired there are chances they will acquire.
There are many who have asymptomatic infection. High risk depends on types.
The chances of transmission is High when active lesion is present like wart. Here not present. You can use condoms to reduce transmission.
You need not feel guilty as many can transmit without their knowledge as they will be asymptomatic.
