What Are The Interactions Between Lexapro, Simvastatin And Aleve?
Question: I have been on Lexapro for a little while. (I'm sensitive to medicines). I have also taken Zomig for migraines, Xanax for sleep at night, Simvastatin, Prempro, Aleve, LEvothyroxine, for hypothyroidism,. I'm having to cut way down on th Lexapro because of problems. I look up side effects a lot because of the way I've been feeling. Problems more with memory at times, body tingling and spacey. Zomig and Aleve, both interfere w/Lexapro. Actually as of today I stopped taking Lexapro to see if I feel better. I'm a very nervous anxious person and 63. Need your opinion on all of this. I'm tire all of the time.
Brief Answer:
you are right,Significant drug interactions are likely possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
Lexapro drug interactions with aleve, zomig and sumatriptan are significant and can increase serotonin level and increase each other’s side effects.
If your problem has begun after starting lexapro drug interactions are likely reason and reducing the dose of lexapro to lowest or stopping the same will be the approach to stop your side effects.
To relieve anxiety for a while round the clock clonazepam will be helpful. You can ask your doctor for the same.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
